Innovating for a Better Future

From working on industry-funded research projects to building university – business interactions, I have spent my career spanning the boundaries between industry, academia and policy. I’ve seen the great things that happen when people come together to innovate.

I also know how the challenges that organisations face in working with each other, from understanding their common objectives, navigating cultures and jargon, finding the resources to get projects started and the ongoing commitment to build lasting relationships.

Leading the development of the Anglian Centre for Water Studies, a research centre focussed on water, society and environment took me into the world of catchment management, behavioural change and economic regulation. As Deputy Director of the ARIES Doctoral Training Partnership I’ve had the privilege to work with early career researchers and businesses to develop new skills and innovate.

Along the way I gained an MBA and Diploma in Professional Consulting. Whilst I’ve been lucky enough to always have had jobs I enjoy, starting my own consultancy business was always at the back of my mind. So when my role was made redundant I felt it was a ‘now or never’ opportunity to try something new and I took the scary step out of an organisation I loved working for to set up Danino Consulting.
